Dr. Tamara Thomas (she/her) is an intersectional feminist and anti-oppressive advocate with over 9 years of experience working in the field of anti-violence. Tamara started her career as a community advocate and organizer supporting survivors of power-based violence and their families in Georgia, then transitioned into campus advocacy and, for the past 7 years, has worked for one private and two public institutions of higher education located in the East Coast. In her campus advocacy roles, Tamara created a confidential advocacy office, supports survivors of trauma, harm, and violence as they embark upon their healing, and provides prevention education focused on addressing and disrupting oppression, the root causes of violence and harm.
