Nadiya Pope currently serves D.C.’s 7th and 8th ward as the Community Education and Outreach Staff Attorney for The Safe Sister Circle.
Prior to attending law school, Nadiya received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from North Carolina A&T State University. She also worked for the United States House of Representatives as a Staff Assistant with a legislative portfolio. Nadiya received her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law. While attending NCCU SOL, Nadiya served in several leadership positions, including as the Vice President of the Student Bar Association. During law school, she acted as the legislative intern for the North Carolina Justice Center, whose mission is to eradicate poverty in the South, and as a legislative clerk for the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
Nadiya sat for and passed the District of Columbia bar exam. Nadiya is not currently admitted to the bar and is working under the supervision of a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
